Going to keep this update shorter since I think nap time may be coming after an early morning shoot in the Sonoran Desert. Yesterday we began up in the mountains from Heber-Overgaard, AZ to Payson, AZ but ended up in the lower deserts near Phoenix to Wickenburg, AZ.
Storms yesterday were a bit stronger than on day one and while we had some challenging terrain to shoot in, we made the most of it and ended up getting some great material.
Just had lunch in Hebert-Overgard, AZ and now have storms getting ready to happen almost overhead! pic.twitter.com/krrZaO1orN

(Yes I know I butchered the names of the towns in the tweet…what I wouldn’t do for an edit function)
After lunch in Heber-Overgaard we moved generally S and W towards Payson.
During this time we captured some brilliant lightning and time lapses.
From that scene we moved south into the lower deserts. We experienced a wide temperature swing from 52F at our coldest north of Payson to 115 in Phoenix.
