Moisture and Rain
Atmospheric moisture remains elevated in the region. HRRR analysis shows PWAT up to 1.15 in near Sedan, Kansas. Saturated soils from recent heavy rainfall continue to support flooding along area rivers that remain at or near flood stage.

The National Weather Service office in Topeka notes that area rivers remain in or near flood stage due to recent heavy rainfall. The Hastings office reports minor flooding lingers along the Big Blue and Little Blue Rivers. The Omaha/Valley office indicates river flooding will persist into the weekend and possibly early next week.
