Long-Term, It’s Going to Be Drier/Warmer

Did you enjoy the rain? GOOD! Because that’s basically it for the next 10-15 days for a lot of the SW and Plains. The overall pattern favors only very periodic shots at storms/rain over the first couple of weeks of October. The GFS in particular doesn’t show much of a chance at severe weather through much of the month.

In short: The weather is turning quieter. That’s probably a good thing for some folks who need a couple of weeks to dry out before we resume a more active pattern towards the last half of the month.
