The heart of winter brought a beautiful snowfall to Central Oklahoma.
A snowstorm across the OKC metro area once again caused traffic tie-ups during the winter of early 2015. This was a busy storm pattern which portended an active spring to come!
Snow from around OKC. This was a minor snow event but it was part of a larger pattern of a busy winter season across Oklahoma.
Another pretty Oklahoma snowstorm with pretty scenes to film!
Winter storms in Oklahoma are always interesting. Here’s one from early March which was unfortunate in so many ways. Storm chasers are usually getting the itch to chase big weather by early March but 2014’s start to the month was frigid. The scene at Lake Hefner was amongst the coldest I’ve ever felt in OK, with wind chills -15 to -20 easily given the surface temp and extreme wind speeds.
Just another Oklahoma snowstorm (jaos?).
This was a decent little snowstorm right on the heels of a winter storm just days prior. That was the relatively notable piece to this storm, where we had a week of snowstorms which was realtively peculiar for OK.
